IntroductionZachary Ratkiewicz (Webmaster) — Every year, Key Club's Florida District hosts the District Education and Leadership Conference (DCON) in Daytona Beach, FL. Students from all forty-two divisions of the Florida District, from mainland Florida to the Turks and Caicos islands, go to DCON for "district officer elections, international candidates endorsement, club officer and member training, keynote and motivational speakers, individual and club awards for their dedication to service, zone caucuses, and social events" (floridakeyclub.org). This year, DCON was held from April 18-21. Below are some important takeaways of DCON 2024. Attendees will learn about the different ways that a color can have an effect on your mood, your demeanor, and how others perceive you. This workshop will be presented by Ryann Daniel from Bozeman HS." Be the Editor (Ethan Koh) — "In this workshop, you will be the editor and work alongside the District Editor. You will be given the opportunity to gain knowledge on designs, fonts, layering, and so much more to build your creative ability." Join Treasurer Lorenzo and Financial Chair Quinn to learn how to make your next fundraiser go above and beyond!" Zumba through Service (Ishitha Panguluri) — "Zumba is an interval-style dance fitness party that combines low-intensity and high-intensity moves. You'll burn lots of calories as you move to the rhythm with Latin-inspired dance moves. The best part of it all is that it doesn't even feel like exercise! Come join Governor Ishi as she puts her Zumba skills to the test!" SocialsAt DCON, its attendees can participate in several socials!
