Learn more about Goldfever 2025 below! GF 2025AboutGet ready for an unforgettable night of competition, creativity, and community as our four service clubs face off in Goldfever! On January 24, 2025, SPHS will host a high-energy event where the best performers from Interact, Key, Rojans, and Leo come together to compete for the coveted Goldfever awards. A Battle For The AgesGoldfever 2025 isn't just about lip syncing—it's about showcasing the unique styles, teamwork, and talent that each service club brings to the table. With Style Standoff as the overarching theme, each club has chosen a specific style of music to represent, with Key Club setting the stage for a clash between Pop vs. Rock! Expect a night of electrifying performances as each club showcases their creativity, passion, and dedication. This competition will test every club's ability to bring their music to life in ways you've never seen before. Key Club: Pop vs. RockOur performance will bring the ultimate face-off between two iconic musical genres—Pop vs. Rock. In one corner, you'll have the infectious, chart-topping hits of modern pop, from artists like Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Beyonce. In the other corner, the rebellious, high-energy power of rock—think Queen, Weezer, and AC/DC. Key Club's performance will be a direct battle of musical styles, highlighting the contrast between pop's catchy melodies and rock's raw, untamed energy. It's a celebration of both genres and the power they have to captivate audiences in very different ways. The Stakes Are HighThis isn't just a fun competition—Goldfever represents the culmination of months of planning, practicing, and collaboration. Each service club has worked tirelessly to craft a performance that represents their club's spirit and their commitment to excellence. From selecting the perfect songs to rehearsing choreography, the effort that goes into these performances reflects the dedication and hard work of each club. But beyond the competition, Goldfever is also about bringing together the SPHS community in a shared experience. It's a night that celebrates the creativity and camaraderie that service clubs foster. Whether it's through organizing community service events or putting together school-wide activities, the service clubs at SPHS are committed to making a positive impact—and this event is no different. Why Attend?Goldfever offers a rare chance to witness a unique blend of performance, teamwork, and school spirit. You won't just be watching a typical lip sync battle—you'll be supporting the service clubs that make a difference in our community every day. For students, this is a great opportunity to get a first-hand look at what being part of a service club can offer. Goldfever is a perfect way to experience the collaboration, leadership, and fun that define these organizations. If you've been considering joining a service club, attending this event will give you an inside look at what it means to be part of a team that works hard, plays hard, and makes a difference. Rushing // InterviewsAboutEvery year, St. Petersburg High students get the opportunity to rush for a service club. Rushing is when all the service clubs can promote their clubs by "rushing" the courtyards and handing out their letters. For us, that means you can receive a cute paper K! Each year, any student can apply for Key Club! It is a wonderful club that gives students the opportunity to meet different people and help the people around us. To sign up to be a member of Key Club, there will be applications available for students mid August. Then, the clubs hold "interviews". Interviews are usually held in early September, and they will most likely take place after school in Mr. Benton's room (01-223). Check out some of our best rushing and interview moments over the years below! |

TappingAboutTapping is one of the greatest traditions only offered at SPHS. Students who have interviewed and finally accepted into the greatest club ever get "tapped" into the club. "Bigs" (members) give baskets filled with goodies and a large K cutout for their "littles" (new members) to wear around their necks and represent the club with pride. |
